Morningstar Corporation offers the Sunsaver Duo Controller. This solar controller offered in SSD-25 and SSD-25RM models incorporates two batteries to store charged solar current.
The solar charged current is divided between the two batteries and the user has option to select the battery to store the current. If any one of the batteries is fully charged the charge current will routinely flow in to the other battery for charging. The Sunsaver Duo controller is epoxy encapsulated to protect against high-level humidity and dust. This equipment is fully protected against electrical vagaries such as short circuit, reverse polarity and over current due to power over load or wiring mistakes.

The SSD-25RM model duo controller is rated at 25A at a system voltage of 12V. This solar controller is designed to function in temperatures ranging from –40°C to +45°C. The dimensions of the Sunsaver Duo Controller model SSD-25RM offered by Morningstar Corporation is 17.0 cm x 5.6 cm x 4.1 cm and weighs 0.26 kg. This model utilizes a largest terminal wire measuring 16 mm²/6 AWG.
The control parameters of SSD-25RM can be adjusted by utilizing an incorporated DIP switch. This duo controller can be fully customized by connecting the controller to a computer and utilizing the provided software. This solar controller is CE certified and provides optional features such as remote temperature sensor, DIN rail clips and PC meterbus adapter.
