Power-one offers the outdoor inverter model PVI-6000-OUTD-US.This grid connected 6 kW inverter does not use a transformer. This inverter incorporates two independent MPPTS for optimized power production from multiple arrays in different directions and inputs the power through two input lines.
The compact inverter box has an external size measurement of 38-5/8 in. x 12-13/16 in. x 7-11/16 in. and weighs 66 lbs. The PVI-6000-OUTD-US generates a maximum power at 50°C ambient temperature and the incorporated MPPTs operate between 90 and 580 VDC.

The PVI-6000-OUTD-US inverter is kept in an IP65 (NEMA 4) enclosure and endure severe weather conditions. The front-mounted heat sink defies pollution and enhances the cooling in the inverter for increased service life. This inverter incorporates reverse polarity protection to prevent damages due to wrong wiring during installation. The LCD display mounted over the front panel offers real time updates for all functions and procedures. For easy external connectivity this model incorporates RS-485 and USB communications interfaces.
The PVI-6000-OUTD-US manufactured by Power-one offers a nominal DC power of 6.18 kW, an operating MPPT input voltage range of 90–580 V, a full power MPPT range of 170–530 V, a max input voltage of 600 V, and a nominal activation voltage of 200 V. This inverter complies with the safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards set for grid tied operations.
