Photovoltaic (PV) modules and cells and silicon ingots manufacturer Solarfun Power Holdings Co., Ltd. has announced plans to introduce its novel “SolarIris” series of building integrated photovoltaic ("BIPV") modules in Germany at the International Solar (Intersolar) Europe Conference which will be held during June 7-11, 2010. Intersolar is likely to attract over 60,000 visitors and 1,800 exhibitors.
The novel modules will be reliable, highly efficient and aesthetic in appearance. The Solarfun Power Holdings modules will also comply with quality standards such as TUV, UL, CE and ISO 9001.
The company intends to target these modules at consumers, designers, decorators and architects. Built with three glass layers, the SolarIris BIPV modules comply with architectural requirements meant for glass strength and thickness, making it suitable to be integrated into walls and roofs. Moreover, high insolation and light transmittance properties make the module ideal for windows, skylights and greenhouses.
SolarIris offers various customized modules that can integrated into any commercial or residential setting. As per the specific requirements of the customer, light transmission, external dimensions and electrical characteristics can be adjusted. The new SolarIris BIPV modules have successfully gone through high-humidity and high-temperature aging testing for over 2,000 hours.
