Aeronautica offers the Aeronautica 29-225 wind turbine. This medium-scale 225 kW wind turbine fulfills the power requirements of medium-sized business establishments. This low profile wind turbine incorporates three LM 13.4 make upwind type of blades made of fiberglass reinforced polyester.
The stall regulated rotor used in the wind turbine measures 29 m in diameter. With a rotor speed of 37.9 rpm during ideal wind conditions the rotor covers a swept area of 664 m². The tilt angle of this wind turbine is 5º and its approximate pitch angle is –2.3°. The Aeronautica 29-225 wind turbine offered by Aeronautica uses turnable type of blade tips as air brake during normal conditions. To stop of the rotating functions of the wind turbine during emergencies a mechanical disc brake on high speed shaft is used. The maximum rpm rating of this wind turbine is 1920 at 60 Hz and 1600 at 50 Hz.
The Aeronautica 29-225 wind turbine incorporates a four-pole, single wound induction with IP54 protection to protect against dust and water. The synchronous speed rating of the generator 1800 rpm at 60 Hz or 1500 rpm at 50 Hz. The cut in functions of the generator is controlled by a Thrystor for a steady cut in speed. This generator utilizes 60 Hz – 480V or 50 Hz – 480V grid connectivity. For effective operation of the wind turbine this model incorporates two yaw motors for active and electrical drive and three yaw brakes for active and hydraulic brakes.
The cut-in wind speed of this wind turbine is 4 m/s, its cut out wind speed is 25 m/s and its survival wind speed is 67 m/s. This wind turbine incorporates CC–Electronic / NORWIN A/S (Orbital controller). The maximum noise of this wind turbine at Nacelle is 98 dBA.
