VELUX offers the TWF/TLF flexi sun tunnels to provide natural light at home. This flexi sun tunnel is used in places such as stair walls, corridors, cupboards, bathrooms and other places where roof windows cannot be installed.
The natural light system comprises a flat glass roof light with clean and clear coating and structured flashing, a 2 m flexi tunnel and a tidy white colored double glazed acrylic ceiling diffuser. The flexi sun tunnel includes a 2 m long tube which can be extended up to 3 m in length by utilizing a ZTR extension. The TWF flexible tunnels are used for roof tiles up to 120 mm profile and for roof slates up to 8 mm in thickness.
The flexi sun tunnel fixture offered by VELUX incorporates a black molded polyurethane frame/flashing with a black plastic frame work. The flexi tunnel tube used in the system measures 2 m in length and 355 mm in diameter and is made of metalized polyester. The flat glass used for the lighting purpose is a toughened glass with a clear and clean coating and measures 4 mm in thickness.
A sealed double-glazed acrylic is used as ceiling diffuser and a white plastic is used as ceiling trim. Optional brushed aluminum, brass and mahogany effects are also available for ceiling trim design. In place of flexi tunnels the VELUX TWR/TLR rigid tunnels also can be used.
