FAKRO offers the SKC 44 model solar collector. This solar collector is installed over special roof flashings for generating solar power.
The unique construction of the SKC 44 model allows installation of solar collectors over the roofings in combination by retaining only 3 mm distance between them. The toughened prismatic glass of 4 mm thickness used for covering the solar film is hailstone resistant and increases energy generation. The frame shaped encasing used to hold the solar collector is made of strong aluminum. The dimension of the SKC 44 solar collector is 114 cm x 206 cm, the actual size of the collector is 1137 mm x 2220 mm, total collector area is 2.54 m², absorber area is 2.07 m² the absorber liquid volume is 1.2 L.
The solar absorber plate incorporated in the module is made of copper and has TINOXR coating for increased radiation absorption efficiency up to 95%. The copper piping carrying the glycol heating liquid is securely connected to the absorber by ultrasonic welding for increased collection of heat energy. To prevent the heat loss the solar collector is insulated with special mineral insulation material up to 20 mm on side walls and 50 mm under the absorber. The pierce-resistant aluminum sheet used at the back of the collector is perforated. The design pattern of the SKC 44 solar collector allows it a perfect fit with any roofing material.
The SKC collectors can be arranged only in collector–collector horizontal coordination over the roofing and securely connected to each other using an incorporated special flashing. The flashings utilized for connecting the SKC 44 collector to the roofing is available in two CZV and MZV models. The flashings are used in horizontal combination to connect two SKC solar collectors.
