Home & Mobile Energy offers the e220 small wind turbine manufactured by Kestrel Wind Turbines. This wind turbine incorporates an advanced pitch control and continues to harvest power even during high velocity wind conditions.
The e220 wind turbine has a unique design and starts generating power at very low level wind speed of 2.5 m/s. The passive pitch control system incorporated in the wind turbine along with the low level power generating feature boosts the annual energy production.
This wind turbine generates a maximum power output of 850 W at 12.5 m/s wind speed. The e220 wind turbine incorporates three blades made of fibre glass installed over a rotor measuring 2.2 m in diameter. The e220 wind turbine marketed by the Home & Mobile Energy incorporates a permanent magnet and axial flux brushless generator. The tower of this wind turbine is available in 9 to 15 m height range and the tower top mass weighs 45 kg. The tower is offered in scissor or guyed type. For controlling the operations of the wind turbine this wind turbine incorporates a charge or dump type of control system. The current output voltage range of this wind turbine is 12, 24, 36, 48, 110 and 200 VDC.
This wind turbine can be used for grid tie as well as battery charging applications. To protect the wind turbine from adverse weather conditions this turbine is painted with an intermediate protective coat and a polyurethane two pack finishing coat.
