Hetronix Keith_2KF Wind Turbine from Hetronix

Hetronix offers the Hetronix Keith_2KF model wind turbine. This small-sized wind turbine generates electricity to meet the requirements of grid connected and off grid battery charging applications.

The 2.888 m rotor incorporated in this wind turbine covers a swept area of 4.792 m². The rotor rotates in 145 to780 rpm ranges. The Keith_2KF wind turbine incorporates three blades made of carbon/glass fiber reinforced composite material and each blade measures 1.20 m in length.

The generator installed in this wind turbine is a three phase AC permanent magnet generator of 18 polarity structures and this generator produces AC output in the ranges of 160 to 600 V. The cut in wind speed of this Keith_2KF wind turbine offered by Hetronix is 3.5 m/s and this turbine survives wind speeds up to 50 m/s. To protect against high velocity winds this wind turbine incorporates an active side furling feature which comes in to operation when the wind speed reaches beyond 13.5 m/s.

To prevent damages to the rotor system due to over speed an electromagnetic over speed voltage protection and resistor braking system is installed. The wind turbine is maintained over a housing made of aluminum alloy and the total weight of the wind turbine is 58 kg. This wind turbine conveniently operates in -20 to +50º C temperature ranges.
