Sungevity Challenges California Governor Candidates to Go Solar

Sungevity, one of the leading providers of residential solar power, has challenged Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown, the gubernatorial candidates of California, to install solar energy systems on their homes. The founder of Sungevity Danny Kennedy said that in terms of providing clean energy, California leads as an example for all the other states.

Clean energy is increasingly important to the U.S., even as President Barack Obama has mentioned that the time has come for embracing a clean energy future. The President also added that now is the time for unleashing American innovation and seizing control of the nation’s destiny. Sungevity has provided the First Family with a solar system offer.

In moving towards a cleaner energy future, the company is creating solar savings estimates for both the candidates, based on computations of their rooftop’s exposure to sunlight and also the electricity expenses that they are charged. If the candidates accept the offer of Sungevity, the company will install the solar system at zero installation cost, and will charge them with a monthly rate for the electricity they consume.
