TechnoSpin offers the ComSpin S 2 wind power system for security and control devices. This wind turbine generates a maximum of 200 W power to meet the energy consumption applications in far-flung as well as metropolitan locations. This power system is specifically built for powering security and control devices in remote locations uncovered by grid connectivity.
The other applications of this system include powering mobile mounted systems, cell phone chargers and control systems used for monitoring oil, gas and water pipelines. The rotor incorporated in the ComSpin S 2 wind power system offered by the TechnoSpin measures 1.7 m in diameter and incorporates three blades. The rotor along with the blades weighs 25 kg.
This wind turbine starts up at extremely low wind conditions and produces a continuous power of 25 W at an average 3 m/s wind speed and the power production goes up to 60 W in 4 m/s wind speed. The start up wind speed of this wind turbine is 2.5 m/s and this turbine can withstand a maximum speed of 55 m/s. The ComSpin S 2 wind power system produces voltage in the range of 12–48 V DC for charging the batteries. This wind turbine can efficiently function in temperatures ranging from -40 to + 70ºC. The maximum axial bearing force of this wind turbine is 32 kg.
This wind turbine can be conveniently installed over roof masts with a minimum height of 3 m or over separate towers measuring 6 m in height. This vibration free wind turbine operates without noise in most of the windy places. This wind turbine can synchronously work with solar power production equipment and more number of batteries can be conveniently added to meet increased power requirements.
