Research and Markets Introduces

Research and Markets has announced the availability of the latest report titled "Wind and Solar Power for Mobile Telecom".

Mobile Experts has forecasted a huge increase in the usage of renewable energy by mobile operators. This view is supported by Mobile Experts’ Principal Analyst Joe Madden, who commented that currently wind turbines and solar panels have an ideal ROI meant for remote mobile base stations. He also believes that more than 150,000 mobile base station facilities will shift from diesel generators to renewable energy resources over the coming 10 years.

This change in the industry is likely to commence in 2010. Already, the Indian Government has initiated major incentives in an effort to encourage solar panel installations over the course of the coming six months.

This report offers: in-depth analysis of the presently installed base of poor-grid, on-grid and off-grid telecom sites; future ROI models that estimate the breakeven period for solar power and wind facilities installed through 2020; and explanation of the various market inhibitors and drivers associated with renewable energy.

Products covered in the report include base stations, diesel generators, fuel cells, photovoltaic arrays, solar panels and wind turbines.

Companies mentioned: Alcatel-Lucent, Bergey Windpower, Eltek Valere Power, Ericsson AB, First Solar and GE Energy.

Essential topics covered in the report: the ROI Calculation for Wind/Solar Power is Changing, Company Profiles, Market Overview, Equipment Outlook and Renewable Energy World Maps.
