Garden State Offshore Energy’s VP Appreciate of the Recent Offshore Wind Legislation in NJ

Garden State Offshore Energy, LLC (GSOE) vice president and manager in charge of renewable energy development at PSEG Global, Rob Gibbs has appreciated the decision of the New Jersey State to pass the offshore wind legislation. This legislation signals the commitment of New Jersey in creating a promising, new industry.

Rob commented that this legislation clears the way for offshore wind projects such as the project being proposed by GSOE. However, projects need to demonstrate the benefits to the citizens and the state.

Rob believes that an active offshore wind sector can generate numerous green jobs, prop up the economy and assist New Jersey achieve its renewable energy targets. He also applauded Lee Solomon, NJBPU President; Bob Martin, NJDEP Commissioner; Oliver, Assembly Speaker; Sweeney, Senate President; and Christie, the Governor of New Jersey for their roles in passing this legislation.
