PV Trackers Inc. is constructing three new power plants in Northern California. These power plants comprise dual-axis trackers belonging to the 163 PVT 6.0DX make.
Rick Butterfield, CEO of Butterfield Electric and the project’s contractor, mentioned that the product designed by the PV Trackers team is a cost-effective solution for maximizing solar energy collection. He added that the use of easy-to-assemble components and anchor foundations make the installations of PV Trackers an easy process.
Beginning this 2010 fall, the Northern California school district project will be generating more than 1,600 MWh of electrical energy annually. The solar energy collected will be maximized through these environmentally-friendly trackers, thus facilitating the school district for saving money on solar panels.
The dual-axis tracker from PV Trackers is secured by bolts and is just about the only tracker available on the market that needs no sheet metal screws or welding or concrete. PV Trackers delivers optimal solutions in terms of solar projects since they reduce initial system costs while delivering the same power levels as the fixed-tilt racks by making use of 28% fewer panels and out-performing other technologies by 30 to 45%.
