Yingli Green Energy Holding Company, engaged in the manufacture of photovoltaic modules under the brand name Yingli Solar has been selected by Kaiser Permanente hospitals to supply 15 MW of solar modules to support 16 solar power systems to be placed in its hospitals and offices located at various places in California.
The company is expected to deliver around 65,000 Yangli Solar multicrystalline modules for the project before its completion in the middle of the year 2011.
Yangli Green Energy America’s solar modules were chosen by the plant architect and installer of the modules Swinerton Renewable Energy, a green building company operating from San Francisco and Recurrent Energy an autonomous power producing company based at San Francisco who intends to own and operate the proposed plant. The proposed project is expected to create 180 union and new green energy employment in California.
Swinerton Renewable Energy’s Vice President George Hershman, appreciated the customer friendly service and adaptability of Yangli Green Energy and confirmed their plans to continue the partnership with them.
Recurrent Energy’s Chief Executive Officer Arno Harris attested the ability of Yangli Green Energy America in delivering and working within the rigid development limits, and expressed his happiness to be associated with Yangli in such a big project.
Liansheng Miao who leads Yangli Green Energy as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer confirmed the intention of the company to expand in to every segment of solar market and the company is looking forward to lead the module market in United States. He added that the current announcement only adds credibility for more such selections in the future.
Robert Petrina who serves as Managing Director in Yangli Green Energy America thanked for the selection and added the new Kaiser Permanent projects when completed will remain a standing example for others to emulate.
