Tioga Energy Completes Solar Installation at HSSV Animal Community Center

Tioga Energy, a global major in the supply of renewable energy services for government, commercial as well as non-profit institutions, has installed a solar system at the Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) Animal Community Center that is a LEED Gold certified center.

At the facility, rooftop systems and solar shade structures are totally made of 1,335 PV modules with an overall capacity of 274 kW. As per the terms and conditions of Tioga’s SurePath Solar Power Purchase Agreement, HSSV avoided large initial expenses that are normally associated with such solar projects, thus creating savings for the entire life period of the solar system.

The center’s solar system has numerous green attributes such as 90% usage of concrete taken from the foundation of old buildings, water and energy efficiency technologies, a sophisticated heat recovery system, reflective cool roof and dual pane windows.
