Natural Grocers Get Energy Efficient LED Lighting

Albeo Technologies announced that the three new stores of Natural Grocers will be installed with its C-Series LED lighting that won NGL award.

The three stores are in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Dallas, Texas; and Longmont, Colorado. Natural Grocers is the first grocery chain in the country to use LED lighting completely in all of their new expansion stores.

The stores will be installed with the T8LED Troffer lighting in their back offices and the C-Series linear SSL system in the shopping areas. Natural Grocers will also use the color temperature light that is 4200 Kelvin correlated and has a color-rendering index of 92. The grocery chain selected the color temperature light for the food products display. Natural Grocers has saved more than 50% in electrical energy and has eradicated the cost of maintenance for bulbs by using the C-Series LED lighting.

The Construction Project Manager of Natural Grocers, Kevin Stees, stated that the LED lighting decreases the impact on the environment considerably, and lasts 4 - 6 times longer when compared to the fluorescent bulbs. He further said that they were confident about the solutions of Albeo because as it has won numerous awards and has experience is large deployments.
