Colorado Army National Guard Readiness Center in Grand Junction, Colorado, has announced the use solar power from the newly installed power generation facility provided by Bella Energy.
The 172 kW power solar arrays installed by Bella Energy produces enough electric energy for use, by the community and also compensate 450,000 pounds of CO2 emissions every year. This installation also helps the Colorado National Guard's intention of contributing towards national energy security.
Maj. Richard Burtt, Colorado Army National Guard’s Project Manager, said the new installation has helped them to future plan, their aim of achieving net-zero electricity utilization goal during the year 2030 and also gave them an opportunity to learn about managing the energy requirements that may arise in the near future.
Jim Welch, Bella Energy’s CEO, felt proud of working with Army National Guard. He said that renewable energy products such as solar energy plays a key role in national security, and is very important in formulating energy policy of the country, and important for the growth of the company also. He further explained that the company is planning to erect over two megawatt worth solar systems during the year.
