AdvanceBio Systems to Provide Biomass Pretreatment Reactor System

AdvanceBio Systems LLC, a technology company based at Cincinnati, has received a contract from the U.S. Department of Energy, for providing a Biomass Pretreatment Reactor System for National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Integrated Biorefinery Research Facility in Golden Colorado.

The equipment will be utilized to sustain the objectives of the national transportation fuel diversification, in areas related to advanced technologies that derive ethanol fuel from cellulosic biomass cost effectively.

AdvanceBio Systems LLC has more than 75 years of experience in the fuel and chemical technology business and offers consulting and technology services to companies in developing new projects, related to biofuel industry and biochemical segment. The firm helps the clients with technology development, plant operations, designing applications and management of projects, and also enables the companies to utilize renewable energy sources through the development and marketing of inventive technologies, for use in areas such as lignocellulosic-based bioethanol, sugar and starch.

AdvanceBio Systems LLC was selected as the lowest bidder to qualify under the Resource Recovery Act of 2009. The entire system, utilizing AdvanceBio Systems' proprietary technology, will be designed and manufactured in Ohio, said Bipin Shroff, principal at AdvanceBio.
