Global Earth Energy, Inc.’s auxiliary company RCI Solar has set up a solar-powered car wash system for Skogies Car Washes of British Columbia, Canada.
The solar car wash system set up by RCI Solar increased the efficiency of car washing in triplicate and saves on operating costs. By installing the system, the water utilized for car wash is kept in a constant temperature without reduction in heat value, thus reducing the quantity of chemicals required for each wash due to the degreasing by the hot water, use of a boiler for escalating the water temperature and also reduces the expenses incurred for maintaining the temperature of the wash water by 60 percent because the solar array maintains the temperature at70 degrees even during zero degree temperature. The solar circuit also provides at least 50% more hot water per hour, thus saving the time on producing hot water and allows washing nearly twice the number of vehicles in the given period. The solar heat loop feeds the radiant floor heating installed at the entrance of the building, to reduce mishaps due to the formation of ice at the doorway. The generated heat can be used to heat the building, and the hot water can be used in the clients’ wash rooms.
According to a spokes man from Skogies Car Washes, the Eco Energy Solar Car wash solution saves on electric power, usage of chemicals and saves the environment from pollution. He added that his company was happy in integrating the solar system provided by RCI Solar with Skogies car wash system.
