BlueChip Energy (BCE), a Florida, USA-based company engaged in providing total solar power solutions for governmental, commercial, residential and utility applications, has announced the launching of a new grid-connected solar power system with back up battery power.
The new solar system offered by BlueChip Energy, includes a grid synergistic inverter, a power charge controller manufactured by Outback, and batteries to store and provide continuous power. The Fusion 5kW Solar Generator offered by BCE, can store up to 5 kW of solar energy to offer an average savings of $125 per month on energy bills. This grid interactive system provides the flexibility of power utilization to the residential installers by returning the surplus power to the utility grid, while continuing to have the choice of retaining and use the power during utility power outage. The power generated by the solar panels is stored in the batteries during the day time to provide uninterrupted power upto four to 12 hours to manage important power loads.
For meeting the growing requirements of installations from residential and commercial segments, the company is said to have hired a number of business developers, solar energy specialists and consultants, solar module installers and electricians. Lawrence Hefler, the spokesman for BCE, said while the battery backup system provides reliable power during utility failures, unlike conventional power back up systems that use propane or natural gas the BCE systems use renewable and clean solar power.
