Enel Green Power Begins Wind Farm Operations in France

Enel Green Power, a global company dedicated towards renewable energy, has started operations of its wind farm Haut-de-Conge that happens to be the second largest facility in France. With this, the company has reached a total installed capacity of 92 MW.

The wind farm has its location in the Vitry-les-Nogent, Dampierre and Poinson-les-Nogent municipalities in Champagne-Ardenne, the Haute-Marne department, in France.

The wind farm will be producing more than 50 million kWh of power annually towards meeting the energy needs of approximately 15,000 households. The energy produced thus, will facilitate in avoiding CO2 to the extent of 40,000 tons.

Enel Green Power has an overall annual production capacity in excess of 200 million kWh. Currently, some more wind energy plants of the company with an overall capacity of 64 MW are under construction.
