Enviva Takes Over CKS Energy for Enhancing Wood Pellet Biomass Production

Enviva LP, a global leader in the manufacture of processed biomass fuel and wood pellets in Europe and the U.S., has acquired a private company CKS Energy Inc. that is involved in the manufacture of wood pellets for commercial, residential and industrial uses.

Enviva is excited about the acquisition since CKS Energy provides a stable and robust fiber supply chain towards providing easy access to its customers, worldwide. This acquisition will also facilitate the increase in production of wood pellets that are manufactured in a sustainable manner for meeting the ever-growing demand from consumers, businesses, utilities and power companies in Europe as well as the U.S.

This facility has been named as Enviva Pellets Amory. Enviva plans to hire additional staff for increasing the production capacity. For operations, the raw biomass materials are to be sourced locally for servicing the company’s long-term customers. Enviva’s mission is to become a world leader in sustainable biomass production.
