SunEdison Conducts Open House at Rovigo Solar Project Site

SunEdison, a leading provider of solar energy services and a MEMC Electronic Materials division, has completed the hosting of an open house on the site location of its Rovigo, Italy power plant project. Upon completion, this 72-MW solar project facility is anticipated to be the largest solar photovoltaic power plant in Europe.

The event, Rovigo Open House, was attended by the press, key partners, local governments, regional governments, solar industry representatives, industry experts and others. SunEdison demonstrated as to how it designed this particular solar plant towards setting a PV benchmark across Europe and the world.

The local government has expressed its enthusiasm and interest for the project while stressing on the benefits reaching the community by way of the project. For the global solar industry, the Rovigo project represents a major milestone while showcasing SunEdison’s development strategy.
