REC Solar to Install 2.9 MW Carport Solar Project for SAVAHCS

REC Solar, a leading solar power providing company specializing in grid-connected residential and mercantile installations, has received a second contract from Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) for designing and installing a modular 2.9 MW carport mounted solar electric system which will currently augment the 302 kW single axis tracker mounted system being installed by REC Solar at SAVAHCS.

Solar Panel Installation

REC Solar has received the installation contract after a competitive bidding process. The system will track the sun all through the day to produce increased solar power. The proposed 2.9 MW carport solar installation will straddle seven carport areas of approximately 900,000 square foot and the power generated from both the PV systems combined is expected to generate more than 5,200,000 kWh of solar power annually that can offset the CO2 emissions generated by utilizing nearly 420,000 gallons of gasoline.

Kam Mofid, REC Solar’s President, said that his company has proved the correct design and production capacity of its solar systems a number of times with a range of clients. He added that the company is adequately equipped to meet the exacting requirements of its clients and will be happy to fulfill the efforts of its clients in achieving solar power integration.
