LDK Solar Starts Commercial Production in its Second 5,000 MT Polysilicon Plant

LDK Solar Co., Ltd., a multicrystalline solar PV and wafers manufacturer, has concluded the commissioning of its 5,000 MT polysilicon train and has started production in commercial scale.

This second train is situated at the Mahong Polysilicon Plant with 15,000 MT capacity in Xinyu City, China. The train is likely to attain its designed annualized output in the next 3 – 6 months. This accomplishment is likely to help the polysilicon facilities of LDK Solar to attain the expected manufacturing expenses as well as annual capacity targets.
