Gradient Resources has launched its new logo and name at its Reno, Nevada-corporate headquarters. The company is dedicated towards the development of clean energy and has brought about green jobs for the Nevada State. The Nevada State has one of the greatest potentials for geothermal energy in the U.S.

Gradient Resource’s properties cover both federal and private land with an approximate area of 170,000 acres that happens to be one of the largest in the nation for geothermal energy. The company is currently having six geothermal energy projects in a stage of advanced development.

Gradient Resource’s Patua site is located near Fernley and has the makings of becoming the first geothermal energy plant for the company. Phase I drilling on this project is to commence by 2011 first quarter. This project will be producing electricity at all times while the power deliveries are scheduled for 2012 second quarter and will be continuing through 2033. This geothermal project will be providing 500 GWh of electricity initially while an eventual ramp up towards 1,000 GWh of electricity annually is anticipated in the near future.
