The future of the biodiesel sector is plagued with numerous challenges, which will determine future biodiesel use as alternative fuel. Challenges such as these will be discussed in detail at the upcoming conference “The Future of Biodiesel in Europe” to be held during September 27-28, 2010 in Brussels.
This entire event has been organized by the German Association for Quality Management of Biodiesel reg. ASS (AGQM - Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitatsmanagement Biodiesel e. V.) and Hart Energy Consulting Company.
At this conference, the EU commission experts will be updating the attendees on the conversion of the directives of the EU into nationalized legal systems, with focus on the NAPs (National Action Plans) for renewable energy, along with the sustainability issue and the aspect of ILUC (indirect land use change).
Other topics to feature at the conference would include feedstock, technology, quality and sustainability developments. The conference would not only serve as a technical forum but also would serve as an ideal platform for information exchange within biodiesel industry representatives.
