Diesel Head Quarters to Go Green with Solar Photovoltaic Installation

Diesel, a top line clothing company, announced that it has installed 198 kW UNI-SOLAR brand flexible thin-film photovoltaic laminates over the roof top of its head quarters in the city of Breganze Italy and connected it to the grid.

The company has chosen the services of Energy Conversion Devices who provided the installation through its subsidiary companies Solar Integrated and United Solar.

The Energy Conversion Devices utilized the services of Solar Integrated to provide the required engineering and production purchasing services, construction and installation of solar panels. The solar panels were constructed over the trade marked SolarRoof membrane facility offered by Solar Integrated which includes strong TPO roofing membrane along with UNI-SOLAR PV laminate. The provided solar roofing system is flexible in nature, light in weight, strong to withstand years of usage and blends with the unique construction of the building. The company has utilized high energy converting thin film solar photovoltaic laminates for increased energy production and quicker returns on investment.

Mark Morelli, Energy Conversion Device’s President and CEO, said that his company has chosen solar installation design using solar laminates to blend perfectly with the design of the building. He added the UNI-SOLAR low weight; low profile flexible solar laminates utilized in the construction will improve the aesthetic look of the building also will help the company to reduce carbon emissions.
