The Second Annual Offshore Wind Construction, Installation & Commissioning Conference planned at London during 20th and 21st October 2010 has already drawn the attention of over 150 wind energy professionals from all over the country and the list is expected to grow.
Some of the known names in the list include companies such as Vattenfall Wind Power, London Array Ltd, RWE Innogy, Mainstream Renewable Power and A2SEA.
The conference is expected to talk about the current construction strategies on offshore wind energy constructions, costs involved, increase in the efficiency of the turbines and increasing the return on investments (ROI). The meet is expected to devote more time to discuss details on successful deepwater, farshore installation of wind turbines and the systematic plans involved in such construction. The meeting agenda ensures adequate focus on recruiting the right hands and offer the right type of training to comply with the requirements of installation to insure quality offshore constructions to help in the growth of more such offshore wind farms.
The conference is also expected to witness discussions on key topics from a select number of companies currently involved in developing, manufacturing, contracting, consulting and service providing activities in the wind energy industry in addition to participation from utility companies, vessel providers and R&D experts.
Currently, power grids in Europe are connected to nearly 2,396 MW of offshore wind production capacity. With more offshore projects presently under the development stage in countries such as the Germany, Netherlands, the U.K. and France, a buoyant growth is expected in offshore wind projects in Europe.
