Cannon Power Group Secures Wind Energy Deal Worth $547 Million

Cannon Power Group, a wind power developer based in Del Mar, California, has secured a deal worth $547 million towards providing electricity to the SCPPA (Southern California Public Power Authority) for a period of 20 years.

Cannon Power Group strongly opines that this deal could become the largest contract of its kind. As per the contract, electricity for the SCPPA members as well as the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power will be produced by the Windy Flats project of Cannon Power Group.

This Windy Flats wind power project has an overall power generation capacity of 262 MW. This wind project is located near Goldendale, Washington while overlooking the Columbia River.
