Gamesa Trades its Six German Wind Farms to IKEA Germany

Gamesa, a world known company for wind farm development and wind turbine manufacturing, has announced the sale of its six German wind farms to IKEA group in Germany. The wind farms located in Rhineland-Palatinate (Winterspelt I wind farm and II and Zettingen), Hesse (Diemelsee I and II) and Lower Saxony (Oberende), were having a total established capacity of 45.05 MW. These wind farm projects have been developed by the company recently.

The company had started its first wind farm project  in Germany way back in 2003. The company has so far developed, constructed and started operations of 190 MW wind projects in Germany. The company is currently making expansions in its Zettingen wind farm and has more than 500 MW worth projects at different stages of development in Germany.

The company has more than 15 years of experience and a global benchmark in designing, producing, installing and up keep of wind turbines has installed 20,000 MW worth of clean energy installations in 20 countries spread over four continents. The company has developed 3, 500 MW wind farms and has 22,000 MW worth wind farms at various stages of development in Asia, Europe and USA. The company has 30 production facilities located in places such as India, China and USA with nearly 4,400 MW annual production capability.
