Soliant Energy Plans to Exploit Portuguese Rooftops CPV Market

Soliant Energy, a provider of concentrated photovoltaic solar power systems that is used for commercial rooftops, has announced the completion of its first commercial rooftop CPV solar power installation in the Portuguese market in collaboration with Turiprojecto, a Portuguese construction company.

The company used the services of Sunwind to complete the installation of its SE-500X rooftop solar panels over the corporate headquarters of Turiprojecto located in Alverca, Portugal. Sunwind a subsidiary company of Turiprojecto, serving its renewable energy interests is also aiding Soliant Energy in its solar installations in Spain, Portugal and North Africa. Turiprojecto is planning to use the new rooftop installation of Soliant Energy to produce energy as well as a display unit to lure its prospective clients.

Dr. Terry Bailey, Soliant Energy’s President and CEO, expressed his happiness to install the first rooftop CPV system in Portugal. He added that Portugal along with Northern African and South European regions are supposed to be the direct markets for his company where the hot and humid climate makes solar power generation cost effective. He explained the intentions of the company to exploit vast industrial rooftops for the production of solar energy in association with SunWind and Turiprojecto.
