Solergy, an advanced high concentrated photovoltaic technology (HCPV) developing company, has declared the introduction of its exclusive and patented Solergy CPV and Solergy Cogen CPV products. The statement is issued on the day before the opening of the EnerSolar+ Conference in Milan where the company will display its new products.
The new CPV systems will boast an optical concentrating lens fully made of glass, a highly tuned solar tracking system and an efficient basic energy unit to consistently generate more energy than any of the currently available CPV or PV products. The Solergy CPV system incorporates an all-glass concentrating lens for assured optical performance in tough weather conditions, a cone concentrator module to improve the basic power production, precision tracking for increased energy generation, complete thermal control to maximize the cell operating efficiency. The system is valuable for use with utility level and distributed power generating plants by doubling the efficiency and increasing the output by nearly one and half times than the conventional PV panels. The Solergy Cogen CPV incorporates patented cogeneration know-how to utilize the heat released during power production and to generate more power. The technology is useful for hot water, air conditioning and heating applications, water desalination and use in industrial heat process usages. The Cogen CPV provides nearly three times more electrical output than the conventional PV panels.
The company also has signed an accord with Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) to erect a Cogen CPV power production plant at the Pantelleria Airport located in Sicily. The power production facility will display the novel use of the CPV and cogeneration expertise of Solergy while providing electricity and heat to the airport operations.
