Suzlon Energy Receives 50 MW Wind Power Order from a Power Producer in China

Suzlon Energy (Tianjin) Ltd., a subsidiary of Suzlon Energy Ltd., has received a wind farm order with 50 MW capacity from a Chinese power producer.

This contract will consist of 24 numbers of Suzlon’s S88 (LTV-50Hz) wind turbines with a power generation capacity of 2.1 MW each. These wind turbines would be delivered to the wind park in Inner Mongolia’s Autonomous Region during October 2010 to December 2010.

With this order, Suzlon Energy’s installation base for wind power has increased to about 1,119.8 MW capacity in China. The company has carved out big plans for China in diverse fields of its interest.

Suzlon Energy employs approximately 800 people in China. REpower, a subsidiary of Suzlon Energy, specializes in producing offshore wind turbines. Suzlon Energy is also a leader in the wind energy sector in India.
