Sterling AE Plans Mega Solar Project with Chinese Government

Sterling AE (Sterling Alternative Energy) has entered into an agreement with the Chinese government towards building a 2,500-MW PV solar farm in the desert of Mongolia.

The Sterling AE solar project is slated for a 2020 completion and forms a part of the 11,950-MW renewable-energy farm that has been planned for the Ordos City located in Inner Mongolia.

The MoU signed between Sterling AE and the Chinese officials would open up a huge solar market with great potential in China. The recent moves of the Chinese government accelerate renewable energy development in the country. Upon completion of the works, as per Sterling AE, this Ordos solar farm will be generating enough electricity for powering approximately three million homes in China.
