GNPower Gets Ready for 300-MW Wind Project in Luzon, Philippines

GNPower Co. Ltd. gets ready towards implementing a 300-MW wind power project in Luzon, Philippines. The company has already begun preparations towards establishing on-shore wind energy facilities towards generating power. The company is currently submitting documents towards this wind energy project contract.

Approximately 2,700 MW of energy can be generated from the Luzon grid that will see numerous power facilities being constructed. The GNPower project has its location along a coastal 100-hectare site and is a multiphase electricity generator along with an integrated fuel handling complex.

Towards matching the estimated growth in Luzon, this wind power project would be constructed under several phases that would involve a coal-fired plant and a hydroelectric facility with a power generation capacity of 600 MW along with a LNG (liquefied natural gas) power plant with 1,200 MW capacity. GNPower also plans for the construction and ownership of several transmission lines towards the economical and efficient transmission of power.
