Vacon Looking Forward for Expansion in Solar and Wind Markets

Vacon, a Finland based company, is looking for its growth in solar markets. The company has recently received around 100 MW orders from the Czech Republic, while continuing its growth in the Italian solar market.

The company has also made its presence in Belgium and received its first solar order.

During the earlier part of this year, the company had taken over a Spanish company engaged in manufacturing solar energy inverters. The acquisition helped the company to introduce its Vacon 8000 Solar inverter considered to be an important product for the company. The Vacon 8000 is utilized in various solar applications ranging from 10 kW up to 1 MW. The company sensing a growth in wind power projects has recently introduced its Vacon 8000 Wind inverter for use in wind turbines up to 2 MW capacities and the company also has plans to move into higher level capacities. The inverter technology provided by the company can be applied in full power converter usages as well as in double-fed induction generator equipment.

Olli Tevä, Vacon’s Renewable Energy Applications Marketing Director, unveiled the plans of the company to enter into solar energy business in various countries around the world. He added that his company is performing steadily in European and USA wind markets while getting more demand from the Chinese market.
