Renovalia Energy Begins Operations in Babolna Wind Farm in Hungary

Renovalia Energy has started operations in the Babolna wind farm situated in Hungary. With this new project in wind energy generation that has its location in Babolna situated at a distance of 85 km from Budapest, Renovalia Energy has increased Hungary’s overall wind energy capacity.

This 15 MW Babolna wind farm has also increased Renovalia Energy’s wind energy capacity in Hungary. The company is also developing additional wind energy farms in the Hungarian market. The new wind farm has been installed at a cost of €27 million and consists of seven wind turbines. The project financing is done by OTP Bank.

The Babolna region represents a wind corridor and the farm will be producing 3.3 GWh wind power annually, an equivalent of powering 88,000 homes every year. This wind energy project will be avoiding CO2 emissions to the extent of 19,800 tons.
