Kyocera Solar Inc has declared that a 1.15 MW solar system said to be a major solar power installation in Orange County has been erected over the roofs of three parking decks of a financial company located in Irvine California.
The system comprises 5,472 numbers of KD210 poly crystalline solar panels. The power produced from the system will meet nearly 50% of the power supply requirement of the central plant equipment and the campus data center of the finance company and save about $14 million in its energy spending in the next 25 years.
Independent Energy Solutions, Inc. (IES), a Vista California-based turnkey renewable energy systems developing company has designed the equipment and built the total system. The construction took 17 days to complete and the company deployed the services of 29 workers. The installed system will generate around 1.7 million kilowatt hours of solar energy every year. The installation will reduce roughly 30,725 tons of carbon emissions during the module’s life span of 25 years.
George Gisel, IES’s Chief Operating Officer, said that the company recommended Kyocera Modules for their proven efficiency, dependability and reduced installation costs. He added that his company has installed various types of Kyocera modules and was never let down over the years and valued Kyocera as a dependable and an encouraging partner. Brad Cocreham, Director of Grid Tie Sales at Kyocera, said that IES utilized the patented G-Frame of Kyocera that has end mounting features and save on carport and roof space. He added that the mounting was completed creatively utilizing the provided brackets and clips at the end of each panel.
