China Yangtze Power Joins EuroSibEnergo PLC to Execute Hydropower Projects in Siberia

China Yangtze Power Co, a Beijing headquartered hydro-power manufacturing company and EuroSibEnergo PLC second among the electricity power producers in Russia, have signed a framework accord of joint operation for the Russian hydropower projects development.

The signed accord of joint operation will improve the power production capabilities of EuroSibEnergo by building two new hydro-power producing plants in Russia. The hydro-power plants are to be located specifically in Siberia to meet the increasing domestic power demand expected from the region and to build an extra capacity facility to export electric power to the northeastern localities of China from Siberia.

EuroSibEnergo, previously known as En+Power is an auxiliary company of EN+Group. The company has around 14 power production facilities in Siberia and the company is the biggest private power supplier. The company has a total installed capacity of 19.5 GW and it produces around 9% of the total power requirement of the country. The company manufactured over 82.8 billion kilowatt hours of electric power last year.

China Yangtze Power Co is a state owned hydro-power producing company in China and operates its power production facility on the Yangtze River. The company owns and operates the Three Gorges Dam known as the largest hydro-power producing plant in the world. The company produces around 12.58 MW of power every year and trades its power to locations in central and eastern parts of China.
