U.S. Senator Max Baucus has announced that Clean Energy Manufacturing Center, a division of BlueGreen Alliance Foundation, has collaborated with Montana Manufacturing Extension Center based in Bozeman to boost wind energy opportunities in Montana.
The partnership was accorded a grant by The National Institute Of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) that will help in expanding the supply chain of wind energy segment in Montana.
According to Baucus, the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center will allow the state to develop a strong production infrastructure, and will help in creating a strong workforce. He added that he is looking forward to support new job opportunities in Montana.
Steve Holland, Director of the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center, stated that energy development is critical to support the economic future of Montana. The capability to develop energy-producing equipment and components can play a significant role in boosting the state’s economic development. Holland added that the grant will provide new job opportunities in the state and will allow local developers to take part in the wind turbine and wind energy sectors.
BlueGreen Alliance Foundation’s President, David Foster reiterated that the grant will create numerous job opportunities in the U.S.
