Innotech Solar (ITS), a Narvik, Norway headquartered company, has laid the foundation stone at the site of its new solar manufacturing facility. Innotech has chosen Halle, an East Germany City, for its new factory. The company received assistance from Germany Trade and Invest in the investment process.
Innotech Solar procures the solar cells manufactured by other solar companies and incorporates them in its solar modules utilizing a unique production process to augment the solar power generation of the modules and retails them by guaranteeing for the output of the cells. The company has chosen Germany and particularly the city of Halle for the availability of quality infrastructure due to the proximity to the Leipzig-Halle airport and an easy reach to the famous Autobahn roadway system of Germany. World Bank in its 2010 report has placed Halle in the number one position globally for the excellent infrastructure facility it offered. Also Germany has the distinction of manufacturing around 50% of the solar modules utilized all over the world. The new production facility of Innotech Solar will primarily create over 80 new employment positions in the region and this figure may go up with the increase in its production facility.
Thor Christian Tuv, CEO of Innotech Solar, said that Germany offers a perfect manufacturing set up to augment the business activities of the company with its booming number of photovoltaic industries and a good infrastructure. He further said that the newly chosen site at Halle will place them in an advantageous position to continue the growth of the company.
