It also provides smart home solutions and Dallas home automation for controlling appliances, light fixtures, thermostat, and window or door sensors via internet or the cell phone. A text message is sent immediately when a door is opened, or a thermostat is not functioning as it should be, to the owner. The owner could then set the thermostat’s temperature through the cell phone or PC, turn on IP surveillance cameras, switch off lights and appliances and so on.

As Texas lacks government incentives when compared to other states, solar electricity is much less in demand, but home automation and Voip services fare better. It takes 15 years to break even on a solar investment in Texas, while in California and New Jersey it takes only five years. IPLiving hopes that the surprising growth would continue for VoIP and home automation services and that better incentives would be offered by the government of Texas to sweeten the deal.
