SGS Obtains Membership of Wind Energy Association in Switzerland

SGS Renewable Energy Services announced that it has become a member of Suisse Eole, which is a Switzerland-based association that promotes wind energy. SGS said it attended the association meeting, which was held on September 14, 2010, as a Suisse Eole member.

Suisse Eole focuses on enhancing wind energy’s site-specific framework in Switzerland, to assure quality of project, as well as, to offer information on wind energy’s benefits. SGS had applied for the membership to share knowledge and experience in the wind energy sector with professional companies. Now, as a member, the company has the privilege to participate in any approval and developmental processes of wind energy projects in the country.

During the Suisse Eole meeting on September 14, SGS presented on site assessment for wind projects, focusing on planning and optimization, energy yield calculation, and issues like noise, terrain conditions, and shadow flicker. The presentation from the company was well received at the event.
