Logitech Presents New Wireless Solar Power Driven Computer Key Board

Logitech, a company that designs and offers personal peripherals for use with computers, has announced the availability of a solar power driven computer key board. The new K750 wireless key board has two solar power panels to gather solar energy and maintain it in a battery used for powering the key board.

The power stored in the battery can be utilized for nearly four months in darkness without the need for recharging. Dissimilar to most of the other solar powered devices, the Logitech key board produced is designed to charge utilizing indoor lighting power and will possibly never stop working during the lifetime functioning of the PC connected.

The key board is  slim and measures just 0.28 inches in thickness and incorporates ‘chiclet’ type keys and an exclusive curve to keep the hands comfortably when utilizing the key board. The key board can be connected to the main computer by utilizing a RF-based USB adapter and it banks on similar linking technologies utilized by the other input devices manufactured by the company and allows connectivity from five other devices in addition to connecting a K750 key board. The key board and the accompanied software are designed to inform the user about the availability of ideal light conditions for charging.

Currently the device is designed and available for the layout utilized by the machines loaded with windows software and it can also be utilized with a Mac model. The company has designs to bring out an exclusive key board for the Mac users soon. The key board will be initially available in North America from November and in other places of the world from December this year.
