DIY Photovoltaic Systems, an energy management professional, has added solar energy panels to its marketing portfolio. Solar panels provide an easy and affordable solution when compared to batteries and power lines and prove suitable for remote settings and outdoor activities.
For instance, solar panels can be used to maintain a car battery. They are generally placed on top of the car’s dashboard to ensure that the vehicle restarts after remaining idle for a long time.
Another product called solar battery charger proves suitable for personal electronic products, such as mobile phones and digital cameras. These items can be carried easily as they are small and light in weight. While older units feature a vehicle outlet connector and need a wide range of adapters, latest models have a USB connector that is compatible with various devices. The battery takes more than a few hours to be charged from a solar module.
Larger solar panels provide sufficient power for large-sized appliances such as televisions, solar outdoor lights and radios. They can be mounted either temporarily or permanently. The panels can also be used to charge batteries for small sailboats and boat electric trolling motors.
A number of options are also available, such as solar-powered Malibu lights, solar powered security lights with motion sensor, and lanterns integrated with solar cells. These products are suitable for indoor and outdoor lighting applications.
