International Energy Investments Group Opens Solar Power Plants in France

Dublin-based company, International Energy Investments Group has inaugurated two solar power facilities in France. The company has invested a total of €15 million in these projects and plans to invest an additional €140 million in other EU Solar Power Plants. International Energy Investments Group specializes in solar energy power plants.

The facility is located in the Rhône-Alpes region and comprises two individual PV power plants that generate approximately 3 MWp. The power plants have been designed and developed by SOLON Investments, a subsidiary of SOLON SE. The plants can produce sufficient power for 3000 people annually. Approximately 14,500 SOLON Blue 230 polycrystalline solar modules were utilized to build the facility, which is situated in the former French army site.

International Energy Investments Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter McCarthy stated that the professionalism and quality adopted by SOLON during the construction phase has contributed tremendously in making long-term investments. He added that the company is looking forward to working on more number of projects with SOLON the next year.

SOLON SE’s Chief Executive Officer, Stefan Säuberlich stated that solar power plants demonstrate how PVs can provide more value-based solutions. Former army sites are now hosting solar power plants that generate eco-friendly energy and cuts down CO2 emissions, he said.
