Mercury Solar Systems, a solar integrating company, declared that it has completed the installation of a 103 kW solar power system for the Estee Lauder Companies. The system is set over the automatic storage facility of Estee Lauder in Long Island, New York.
The current installation forms a part of Estee Lauder’s enduring committal to invest in green renewable energy sources and to lessen its consumption of other types of energy products.
The solar system installed by Mercury Solar comprises around 385 solar panels that are designed to produce more than 120,000 kWh of energy every year. The energy produced from the erected solar system is enough to provide power to 10 average homes and can be equated to removing 13 cars from the road or reprocessing around 2 million cans of soda each year.
Frank Alfano, who leads Mercury Solar Systems as CEO, said that the company stays ahead in the commercial solar market and expressed happiness about the association with Estee Lauder Companies. He added that a number of companies are looking forward to utilize the sizable solar incentives provided by the state and federal governments to install solar products and the company wants to take advantage of it.
