PNE WIND has completed constructing a 12 MW capacity Oldendorf Wind farm in Lower Saxony of Germany. The company has installed 15 Enercon E 53 wind turbines with a total height of 100 m.
The construction was preceded by a lengthy planning period. The construction of all the 15 wind turbines was possible only due to PNE’s expertise and knowledge in the field. Once these wind farms are commissioned, the energy would be sold to EnBW Erneuerbare Energien and PNE would be responsible only for technical assistance and commercial operations as per the agreement. The wind power generated is expected to power 7000 homes, and at the same time reduce emission of 14,000 tons of CO2 and other chemicals.
According to Martin Billhardt, PNE’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, the project was successfully accomplished only because of the tireless efforts and experience of the company’s employees.
PNE based at Cuxhaven develops and installs both onshore and offshore wind power projects, and also provides service and maintenance operations after sales. Till now PNE has built 97 wind farms with 573 wind turbines, leading to a total output of 804 MW. PNE has already established itself in the German market and is now broadening its horizons into Romania, Hungary, Turkey, Bulgaria, Canada, US and UK by going for Joint Ventures or having subsidiary representations. A nominal output of 3,450 MW is expected from the overseas projects.
PNE is also developing offshore wind projects in German Waters, out of which three have already been commissioned. Plans are also being made for entering the offshore markets in foreign markets.
