Colchester-Cumberland Wind Field to Develop Wind Farms in Cumberland County

President of Colchester-Cumberland Wind Field, David Stevenson, stated that Cumberland County, located in Pennsylvania, would be a suitable location for small-sized wind energy projects.

The Cumberland County is at the forefront of the regions where development of local wind energy is likely to occur. Stevenson added that the county is willing to work with companies that invest in these kinds of projects. The company is a community-based wind firm that supports community-owned wind fields in the counties of Colchester-Cumberland.

Stevenson also commented that the county has ideal locations for generating electricity that could go directly into the region’s local electricity lines. It is also a municipal region that has Colchester-Cumberland Wind Field’s attention.

The company does not aspire to develop large-scale wind farms such as the Acciona project near Amherst or the proposed project for the Gulf Shore. It is planning to develop small-sized wind projects that have two wind turbines.
